Sixth Edition of Puerto Vallarta-Bahía de Banderas Tourist Route Set to Captivate Cyclists

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The coastal city is gearing up for the sixth annual Puerto Vallarta-Bahía de Banderas Tourist Route, set to take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024. This much-anticipated event promises to bring together cycling enthusiasts from across Mexico and beyond for a day of scenic rides and communal spirit.

Starting and concluding at the maritime terminal, this event, organized by cycling aficionado Roberto Palacios, aims to cater to a wide range of participants, from families and beginners to seasoned cyclists. The tour is divided into three distinct routes – Green, Black, and Red – each offering a unique experience and challenge level.

Palacios shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, highlighting its significance in promoting cycling and community engagement. “It is a recreational ride that encourages the use of bicycles and coexistence with people who love cycling from all over the Mexican Republic and abroad. We are waiting for you on the 23rd at this cycling party in paradise,” he remarked.

Event Details and Routes:

  • The Green Route: This 21-kilometer journey is designed for families, beginner cyclists, and wheelchair users. It will commence at Puerto Mágico, head south, loop back at the ‘Agustín Flores Contreras’ sports unit, continue to the Las Cruces cruise terminal, and conclude back at Puerto Mágico.
  • The Black Route: Tailored for intermediate cyclists, this 72-kilometer trail will lead participants to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle in Bahía de Banderas. The return journey will take cyclists into Nuevo Nayarit, adding an extra layer of adventure to the experience.
  • The Red Route: Dedicated to advanced cyclists, this 100-kilometer challenge will stretch to Punta de Mita, with the return leg also passing through Nuevo Nayarit. The route is expected to take approximately six hours to complete.

Throughout the event, cyclists will be supported with numerous hydration points and mechanical assistance to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
