Traffic Alert: Seapal Vallarta Announces Road Closure for Drainage Repairs in Centro Neighborhood

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – Seapal Vallarta has announced the urgent closure of Morelos Street in the Centro neighborhood of Puerto Vallarta due to critical repairs to the sanitary drainage system. The closure, which will affect the stretch between Leona Vicario and Josefa Ortiz de Dominguez, began at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23.

The operating agency confirmed that the complete road closure is necessary to expedite the repair work and ensure the safety of both workers and the public. One lane of traffic is expected to reopen on Friday morning, January 24, and full access is anticipated to resume later in the day on Saturday, January 25.

Alternative Routes for Motorists
For drivers traveling from south to north, an alternative route has been established: vehicles can ascend Jesús Langarica Street, which connects to Juárez Street. Juárez Street will temporarily accommodate two-way traffic, allowing drivers to navigate toward Mina Street, where they can descend back to Morelos Street.

Seapal Vallarta has confirmed that public transportation services will not be suspended during this period, and efforts will be made to minimize disruption.

A Call for Patience and Understanding
The closure affects a high-traffic area within the first square of Puerto Vallarta, making it a significant inconvenience for local commuters. Seapal Vallarta expressed gratitude for the community’s understanding and support, emphasizing that the repairs are part of efforts to protect the environment and maintain the city’s image.

The agency has pledged to redouble its efforts to complete the project swiftly, given the high vehicular flow in this central part of the city.

Residents and visitors are advised to plan their routes accordingly, exercise caution near the construction zone, and allow extra travel time while the repairs are underway.

For further updates, Seapal Vallarta encourages the public to stay informed through its official communication channels.
