Puerto Vallarta firefighters had a busy morning with two apartment building fires within hours of each other, one in Marina Vallarta and another leaving an injured person in La Aurora.
Two apartment buildings caught fire just a few hours apart on Thursday morning, leaving extensive damage.
The first occurred at dawn in the exclusive area of Marina Vallarta, where elements of Civil Protection and Firefighters from Jalisco and Puerto Vallarta went to put out the flames.
The event occurred on the 12th floor of the Bay View Grand Marina Vallarta Complex, affecting the living room, dining room, service area, and one bedroom.
The fire was controlled by the Internal Unit using the building’s fire-fighting system, so municipal and state firefighters provided support with cooling and ventilation.
No injuries were reported in the event. The causes of the fire are still unknown.
Hours later, in apartment 41 of building 2022 A of the popular neighborhood La Aurora, smoke was reported.
Immediately elements of the Civil Protection and Fire Department of Puerto Vallarta and Jalisco began to put out the flames in the apartment that, according to the neighbors, lives a person whom they consider to be a hoarder, who suffered first-degree burns. The causes of the accident is also unknown.
