Search Underway in San Pancho and Lo de Marcos for Missing American, Michael Calabrese

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – The close-knit communities of San Pancho and Lo de Marcos are on high alert following the mysterious disappearance of Michael Calabrese, a 46-year-old New Yorker, and his beloved German shepherd, Harley. The pair vanished last Tuesday, April 1, after a brief stop at a local convenience store in Lo de Marcos.

At approximately 11:00 a.m. on the day in question, witnesses recall seeing Michael and Harley traveling in a white 2025 Chevrolet Trax LTS pickup truck, registered under license plate RFZ-353-B. According to reports, the vehicle, Michael, and his dog were en route to a party when they decided to make a quick stop at the store. However, following that pause, there has been no sign of either the man or his pet.

Michael Calabrese is described as a tall man, standing 6’1” and weighing around 260 pounds. He is recognized by his dark brown eyes, curly dark brown hair, and the occasional beard, often accentuated by the cap he usually wears. Notably, Michael bears significant scars on one leg, and unlike many, he sports no tattoos. Fluent in both Spanish and English, he has earned the respect and affection of his neighbors during his years living in the scenic coastal area of Bahía de Banderas.

Harley, his loyal companion, is a German shepherd weighing approximately 27 kilograms (60 pounds). Known for her calm demeanor and protective instincts, Harley tends to be shy, particularly around loud noises like motorcycles.

Authorities and local residents alike are making an urgent call to the community: anyone with information regarding Michael’s whereabouts, the location of his truck, or any clues related to Harley’s current location is asked to contact 911 immediately. In addition, residents may also reach out to Michael’s landlord, Verónica, based in Lo de Marcos.

Neighbors describe Michael as a selfless individual, widely admired for his contributions to the community. His sudden disappearance has left many residents deeply concerned, prompting an all-out search effort and a plea for public assistance in uncovering the circumstances surrounding his and Harley’s vanishing.
