Puerto Vallarta (PVDN) – The Tactical Operations Group (GOT) of the Puerto Vallarta Citizen Security Commission is actively working to maintain public order and ensure the safety of both residents and tourists in the municipality.
Led by operational deputy director Carlos Humberto Arce Villaseñor, the group has launched “Zero Tolerance” operations in various neighborhoods, including Coapinole, Bobadilla, Villa de Guadalupe, Brisas del Pacífico, Lomas del Coapinole, Magisterio, Rancho Alegre, San Esteban, La Floresta, La Moderna, Cristóbal Colón, Bugambilias, Los Ramblases, 1 de Mayo, Agua Azul, Emiliano Zapata, Centro, and 5 de Diciembre.
During their latest tour, the officers checked 42 men to ensure they were not carrying any prohibited objects, weapons, or drugs. Only three individuals were detained for misconduct due to being drunk and aggressive with police personnel, while eight women were arrested for various offenses. One vehicle was also stopped.

At 8:50 p.m., the officers supported the PV-403 unit on Noche Buena and 16 de Septiembre streets in the El Progreso neighborhood, where a fight had broken out. The situation was resolved without further incident.
Later that night, a report was received about a minor being aggressive and threatening with a knife at the intersection of Palmera and 10 de Mayo streets in El Progreso. The officers arrived on the scene and through dialogue, were able to control the situation without any major consequences.
The officers also responded to a report of gunfire at a family party in the Buganvilias neighborhood. Fortunately, the incident was resolved without any incidents.
In addition to their operations in various neighborhoods, the officers have also been reinforcing security in the Tourist Zone through tours on main avenues such as Juárez, Morelos, México, Olas Altas, and the Malecón. Land tours were also carried out on the beach areas.
Through their actions, the Commissioner for Citizen Security is committed to maintaining a safe city for all, in line with Mayor Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez’s vision.
