Thousands of residents across at least eight neighborhoods in Puerto Vallarta will be without drinking water for much of Thursday, November 14. Seapal Vallarta, the city’s water operating agency, announced that a critical valve replacement at the intersection of Jalisco Street and Prisciliano Sánchez Avenue necessitates the temporary service interruption.
Seapal Vallarta communicated the upcoming outage through its social media channels, urging the community to store sufficient water in advance. “We will be replacing a valve essential for water distribution. We ask residents to prepare by storing enough water for their needs during this period,” the agency stated.
The water supply will be cut off starting at 9:00 a.m. in the following neighborhoods:
- Albatros
- Bobadilla
- Jardines de la Higuera
- Leandro Valle
- Prados de la Higuera
- Primavera de Vallarta
- Vallarta 750
- Villas Río
Service is expected to resume after 2:00 p.m. the same day. Residents are advised to:
- Store Adequate Water: Ensure you have enough water for drinking, cooking, and personal hygiene.
- Limit Water Usage: Conserve stored water by minimizing non-essential use.
- Stay Informed: Follow Seapal Vallarta’s official social media accounts for real-time updates.
Local businesses and institutions in the affected areas are also encouraged to take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact on their operations.
This valve replacement is part of ongoing efforts to improve the city’s water infrastructure and enhance service reliability. Seapal Vallarta appreciates the community’s understanding and cooperation during this essential maintenance work.
